This creamy, comforting side dish is a crowd-pleaser. Made with frozen corn, cream cheese, and butter, it’s simple to prepare and cooks effortlessly in the slow cooker.
Ingredients
1 ¼ (16 ounce) packages frozen corn kernels
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
½ cup butter, cut into pieces
½ cup milk
1 tablespoon white sugar
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Combine the ingredients: In your slow cooker, add the frozen corn, cubed cream cheese, butter pieces, milk, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook: Set the slow cooker to Low for 4 to 6 hours, or on High for 2 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally if possible, until the mixture is hot and creamy.
Serve: Once it’s cooked, stir the ingredients together and serve warm as a delicious side dish.
Pro Tip
For a touch of extra flavor, stir in a pinch of garlic powder or grated parmesan cheese toward the end of the cooking time. If you prefer a thicker texture, use less milk or cook for a bit longer on Low.
