Strawberry Angel Food Dessert

This light and refreshing Strawberry Angel Food Dessert is a chilled, no-bake crowd-pleaser layered with fluffy angel food cake, sweetened cream cheese, and juicy glazed strawberries. It’s the perfect make-ahead dessert for spring and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 (10-inch) angel food cake

  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1 (8 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

  • 1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 1 (18 oz) jar strawberry glaze

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Cake Layer

Tear or cut the angel food cake into bite-sized pieces.
Arrange the pieces evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish and press down gently to form a base layer.

Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Filling

In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until fully combined.

    Step 3: Assemble the Layers

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cake layer, smoothing the top.

    Step 4: Prepare the Strawberries

In a separate bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with the strawberry glaze.
Stir until the strawberries are evenly coated.

Step 5: Add the Strawberry Topping

Spoon the glazed strawberries over the cream cheese layer and spread evenly.

    Step 6: Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the dessert for at least 1–2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set and the flavors to blend.

For added texture and flavor, sprinkle the top with crushed graham crackers or slivered almonds just before serving. Want to switch it up? Try using mixed berries or a raspberry glaze instead!
