Tomato Salsa

This bright and zesty tomato salsa is bursting with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. It’s perfect as a dip for chips or a topping for tacos, grilled meats, and more.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh tomatoes, chopped

  • 1 cup onion, finely diced

  • ½ cup green bell pepper, chopped

  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, minced

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • 4 teaspoons fresh jalapeño, finely chopped (with seeds for heat)

  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients:
    In a medium mixing bowl, add the chopped tomatoes, diced onion, bell pepper, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeño, cumin, salt, and pepper.

  2. Mix Gently:
    Stir everything together until well combined.

  3. Serve or Chill:
    Enjoy immediately for a fresh flavor, or cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavors blend.

For a smoother texture, pulse the salsa a few times in a food processor. Want it smoky? Add a touch of chipotle or roast the tomatoes first.
